Luckily, nobody proposes storing hydrogen mixed with oxygen in
ottles into which matches might be dropped.  So that;s another
comparison that's at best misleading.  Propping up one misleading
analogy with another isn't really making progress.

What do you will expect would happen if a container of high pressure
hydrogen, or for for that matter a store of hydrogen in the form
of metal hydrides?  You get a jet of flame.  It only burns where
it's escaping, to where there's oxygen.  Not an explosion.
I've seen films of tests.

I have very little expectation that you're correctly
interpreting what the expert is telling you.

No, what I am saying is that it is the gas fumes excaping from the cup
is what might ignite, the gasoline will simply burn, and it does just
put out the match, like any other liquid if there is no fumes. While
the hyrogen even though turned into pellets, when mixed with oxygen
and sparked will explode. We went over and over this, I don't believe
he is wrong. He is fairly close to genius on this particular
subject. That's why I took all my notes from him for my book. He
lives it everyday. I know from all your previous posts, you are
careful about what you say, and generally speaking I would never
conradict you, as I have learned well enough. But, you drop a match
into the hyrogen and the oxygen will already be present. According to
him, it will be an explosion if not controlled. I have to believe he
knows what he is talking about. Regards as always, Ken Hogan
