In what sense does it break if it's mirrored for a while?

No, what I mean is if you boot up a copy and I (in my original body) die,
I'm dead. The fact that there's some *** walking around with my
memories is irrelevant to me. I'm dead.

While answering, be sure to exclude breakage because you've replaced
the cytoplasm in your neurons or somesuch over time.

Someone with a lobotomy is still the same person. Someone who had a stroke
or CVA is still the same person. If you're replacing neural functions slowly
and imperceptively over time, the point where you last organic neuron is now
electronic isn't significant. If everything your brain does is duplicated
*while you're experiencing it*, there should be no transition, if we make
the assumption that brains aren't magical. *
