comp.lang.java.programming has become almost unusable over the
past week from Google-posted spam, and there's no sign of any
action from them.
Isn't that, in effect, a denial of service attack?

If it was anybody but the $900 billion gorilla allowing all this
spam
to vector through their service, we'd have seen a Usenet Death
Penalty by now.
Who is in the Usenet Cabal that institutes a UDP?
Anyone who wants to and knows how to issue cancels.
