I don't feel that way about Vinge, no; but we've had long threads
in the past discussing C.J. Cherryh, whose writing quite a few
people bounce off of. (I'm one of them.)
I understand how someone might not be able to read Vinge, although I'm a huge fan. And I understand how someone might love to read Cherryh, although I can't finish her books.
