I expect they'll get slapped around _and_ you'll see your

And those of us who like it will like it, and Dorothy won't be forced
at gunpoint to see it. Everybody wins.

Nah, Dorothy willl never see the version she may want to see.

Hah, sometimes I'm really, really glad that I don't do visuals when I
read a novel or listen an an audio drama.

If I understand you correctly, you're saying that when you
read a book or hear an audio tape (of a book?) you DON'T visualize
what's being described in your mind. Is that correct?

Yes.

If so, would you, please, tell me just what it is you DO?

I read the book. :)

If there are visual descriptions, I store them as as more or less
abstract data, like "there's a sofa and a com console in the room".

I *can* visualize just fine, when I want to, mind you. I sometimes
do, though usually with stories thought by myself for my myself, but
never written down.

I just don't don't it automatically and I vary really feel the need to
do so, though. That's why large parts of certain books bore me, since
they are intricate visual discriptions of persons, landscape, cities,
etc. I can transform these into pictures, but that's a controlled or
rather directed process and usually doesn't add to the enjoyment of
the stories.
