definitely. If not, I'd guess he'll still be namechecked.

One or the other will probably be done with Gimli as well, though
obviously John Rhys-Davies isn't as much of a box-office draw (and
may not be up to actually appearing as a younger version of
himself).

That's an easy one -- dwarves age so slowly that he'd look the same.
