YASID: Asimov short story?

Whilst watching The 300 I remembered a short story I read 20+ years
ago but can't recall the title, now it is seriously buging me.

I'm pretty sure it was by Asimov and was basically a retelling of the
Persian Wars with earth playing the part of Greece and the aliens
being the Persians. The aliens where called something like Diablos,
'cos the looked somewhat devil like.

I'm guessing it would have been first published in Astounding in the
40's or 50's as it seems the sort of thing J W Campbell would have
liked.
