Okay, there is a point of interest. Hypothetical writing exercise:
outline a post which would be on-topic for both alt.cyberpunk and
sci.cryptography and yet would lead to the poster being scorched to a
crisp so badly that he vowed eternal revenge, etc. etc.

They're not that far apart, and from what research I've done, almost certainly
a post about how $ACCEPTED_ENCODING_METHOD was actually broken and you have
a marvellous proof thereof that's too small to fit in the post, coupled with
a rant about your discovery being suppressed by the NSA, will do the trick.
(This genre of kook is actually mentioned in one or the other of their FAQs.)
