Obviously this group of "authors?" or "readers?" has serious
personality disorders. I go through life choosing to have a
positive outlook and reflect that in any way I can to those
around me. "Neo- Narnia" is just a way to quickly get across
the type of content someone can expect in my work. Depending
upon your views on C.S. Lewis and his work, you will either
enjoy mine or not. My work will stand on its own.

I will unsubscribe to this group as it is obviously not what
I thought it was.

Have a great life,

This fond farewell appears not an hour after I sent him mail,
suggesting he check out the response here.

Scanning several dozens of thread, I think I'm now getting a clearer
picture what this forum/newsgroup has to deal with sometimes. So in a
way I can understand that anything that remotely looks like spam can
trigger strong reactions. I think in this case it could be a troll
which belongs in a special category of spam. Trolls go away if they
are ignored by everyone. Some of the other forums I'm active in have a
moderator which could mean that the first five posts or so need
approval. Not sure if this is feasible in Usenet.

Some Usenet groups have moderators, but most don't. Once a group has been
set up as unmoderated, it can't readily be changed to being moderated.
In the case of a newsgroup as busy as rec.arts.sf.written, moderation
would literally be a full-time job for someone. Moderation is mainly
practical in newsgroups that serve as periodic digests of information,
rather than having people post to them daily.
