His clock is three days slow. If you're like me, and as you move from
client to client, you delete "already read" posts, you'll delete all of his
before reading them.

Also, some news servers these days don't accept (for submission or
propagation) messages which are, according to their date headers,
older than a couple of days. So John Schilling's posts might simply
not be propagating to much of usenet.

"Delay" is the difference between the Date: header on the post and
the timestamp on the article in my news spool.
