Or really small spaceships? What was the story about the aliens who
come in for a landing, and their spaceship gets eaten by an ameoba or
something?
That's from the Hitchhiker's Guide.
Not the story I'm thinking of, which is earlier and a short story.
Memory may be fading, but it seems I remember a similar story in Steve
Martin's Cruel Shoes. The invading alien fleet ended up flying into a dog's
nose or something.
