Sadly, I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who _would_
believe that - especially when presented in a sufficiently
"authoritative" way.
I made the same point when we discussed this at work.

Somebody said "Have you never watched Big Brother and seen the contestants?"
"No."
"Oh, that explains it. Well they're mostly as thick as two short planks or they wouldn't want to be on there in the first place."


I'm planning to watch the first episode, just to see just how stupid/gullible these people are. Bet the studio was very careful not to pick anybody with physics qualifications or a glimmer of intelligence.
