There's no indication that she fears Jon.

She had almost no information and what little she had came from someone
she should have known not to trust.

Robb's as much to blame as Catelyn, but Catelyn is the source of the bad
advice that Robb follows. Martin simply uses her to give Robb a reason
to make bad choices.

Catylen herself has little hope that releasing Jaime will free her
daughters.

Yes, you're not far off the truth, Martin! ... going to be interesting to see just how low the minima get tonight down this part of the world; the air mass has drifted down from the Midlands/Welsh Marches, where last night the values returned were solidly in the 'minus double figure' category; We're currently -6.3°C, and the earlier FZFG has 'collapsed out' so there's nothing to stop outgoing radiation - precious little real warmth in the soil after the past few weeks, and a little snow cover, though I suspect that it's too thin/irregular to make much difference. ... The temperature doesn't drop linearly - there are all sorts of feedbacks to consider - but I suspect that unless I've missed a sneaky patch of cloud or the gradient pops up later, we should creep into the range -9 to -11 which would be remarkable for our back garden! ...
