It could be, actually, provided the Human Spirit remained intact, the
book featured Strong Heroes Journeying Forth To Freedom, or the like.
I've never read anything by Ringo.  I've just read some rants.

It's not the book, it's the publisher. If Baen publishes it, it's OK. 

You know, I don't think I've ever read a Baen book, either :P
