The ISP. That's what we were talking about.

Yes.

That internet access.

Now you're confusing me. If it isn't whichever company's number is
dialled for the connecction - and it isn't because you didn't even know
what I meant by 'it', despite just that being the subject - what is it?

That's what didn't work, if we're still talking about the same thing.

NIN has something to do with that thing (server?) in Berlin? I have some
vague memory (was reminded of that when I looked at the adress you
offered for a news feed) of someone knowing some people that have to do
with that, mentioning that on a Fido meeting, at length, but I don't
remember details, just that I agreed that 10 euro a year isn't really
worth complaining about (and that I thought the explanation on Usenet
propagation much more interesting). I don't think AOL was part of it.
I guess I could ask him. Fred (my Fido node) wanted to contact the guy,
enquiring whether he would provide newsgroups to Fido people going
internet (that guy has several of them, passing them on, afair, but I
forgot the exact terms again).

I poked around in Thunderbird's options again, and found that it doesn't
display all of them visibly because the screen is too small and it
doesn't add a scrollbar when the window is smaller than what it wants
displayed. The stuff just disappears below the bottom edge of the window
with no way to get at it that I can see.
I'm having a look at the XP tools now, to use that as reader/writer.
That looked easy, except for the terms I don't understand.

No good internet access. ('Cause there is none.)
