The bad guy doctors destroyed the uterine replicators. The women
destroyed some of the research data, and the doctors took care of most
of the rest, as far as I can make out. Anyway, the point is that Eve
and Roarke didn't run amok destroying valuable scientific research. If
they had even thought of it, Eve would have worried about what the law
was and Roarke would have worried about potential commerical
applications, and both would have wondered if maybe they could use one
themselves. It never would have gotten done.
