They left out many variations of vampires, just from TV. And in books
there are yet more.

Oh they went with _recent_ pop culture/TV. [rhetorical]What do you
expect from USA Today, in depth journalism?[/rhetorcal] Angel is the
oldest show there, and it's there because it was _popular_ and they
could show a male vamp as the lead to get their three-way headshot
comparison.
