I hate to say this but, I am watching Bruce Boxleitner in 'Snakehead

I often wonder if actors choose roles for the work or do they think
they can somehow 'fix' the role...make it better somehow. Personally,
I think it's for the moola. 8^)
I'm only an amateur actor, but I have lots of professional friends,
and I've occasionally even worked with them. Sometimes you do it
because OMIGODIWANTTODOTHIS. Sometimes because it pays. Sometimes
because you just don't want a dead space in your resumé. Sometimes for
a chance to work with some particular person. (And this could be
someone you admire, someone you like working with, someone you like
personally, but have never worked with, or something else.) Sometimes
as a favor to a friend. Sometimes because it's something prestigious.
Sometimes because you know your fans will eat it up. Sometimes because
it's a show your kids (or your parents) will enjoy. Sometimes because
you just need a fix for your acting addiction. There are as many
reasons as there are actors.
To all who replied, thank you, especially John W. Kennedy. It's an eye
opener
