My point is, corporations do suppress technological advances for
economic reasons.
The other reason is laziness. It is a lot less work *for the directors*
to sell last years model that modify the production line to make say
a new engine. To explain this to Hollywood, all the costs and work
involved in making and hyping a new movie (car) just disappear. Until
the public do not want to buy a repeat.
