Babylon 5 has finally been added to Hulu.com. I have visited this
site many times, but felt it was missing something -- Babylon 5. The
wait has ended -- the series has been added and it is just
wonderful.
I am watching "Soul Hunter" and if you are like me, it has been far
too long since I watched the series. Unlike many series on the tube
today, Babylon 5 still holds up very well. I would watch this series
-- even now. The lines Ivanova has are just wonderful and the stories
are still just as compelling as they were when I first watched.
Seeing Richard Biggs talk about the brevity of life is a bit spooky.
I am hoping that a whole new audience will find this series. Everyone
needs to watch the best of the series and enjoy the drama. Be sure to
tell your friends that the series is now on Hulu.com!
Curious they are missing ep 4 of season 1.
I am pretty sure JMS has said that it was his least favorite episode
and he was sick while writing it.
That was _Grey 17 is Missing_, and I have to agree it was the worst episode. Amy can probably provide a link to the appropriate JMS quotation somewhere.
From the Lurker's Guide:
"I think it's about 3/4ths of a good episode. Where it falls down, for me, is the Zarg...I just have this constant desire to go to everyone's house and personally apologize...."
From the announcement for Vol. 7 of the Scripts books:
"It had to happen...and about time...jms apologizes for "Grey 17" and explains exactly why it all ended up going into the toilet in quite the way it did."
And from a Google Groups search:
"The longer I take to write a script, invariably the weaker it is.
Conversely, the ones written in one pass, in one sitting, in white
heat, tend to be my best stuff. Sleeping in Light: written in under
two days (though I'd thought about it for years, so that may not be
the best example). Gethsemane: one day. Signs and Portents: two days.
Chrysalis: one day. I could site others. Grey 17 took three weeks.
It shows."
