Maybe he was afraid it would be Na'toth. :)  He thought she was dead,
it wasn't until later that he discovered that she had survived the
bombing of Narn.

No, he knows by this episode that Na'Toth is alive. Remember, "Day of
the Dead" originally aired out of sequence for scheduling reasons
(creating such interesting issues as G'Kar and Londo being on station
after the previous episode ended with them leaving for Centauri
Prime). These reviews place it back where it was intended to be when
it was written, script-edited, and shot... after G'Kar and Londo
return to the station, and a fair bit after G'Kar finds Na'Toth alive.
