Oh, no no no. I think it was just worded oddly. Carrie said "the
bubble wrap was taped to the back of the Declaration," but what she must have
meant is that the bubble wrap was taped to the back of the _framed print of
the Declaration_, and it tore the _backing_ paper. Because these things are
framed in the conventional way, with glass.
