It's still nothing more than supposition based, apparently, on two
separate
quotes. I can think of several ways off the top of my head that JMS could
write
a Spidey story that would "tear my heart out" and I doubt that he'd do
anything
as obvious as whatever I'd expect.

Over and over with B5, JMS got bashed by fans reacting to what they
*thought*
was going to happen and I can't think of a single time they were right.
Let's
just wait and see, shall we?

I'll wait and see but if they kill/get rid of MJ for the sake of having
Peter single so it is less of a hassle to write for, I will certainly stop
reading.

The main draw for Spider-man is that he's a normal bloke behind the
Spider-man outfit, he feels the same, he hurts the same, he has the same
problems we all do in addition to his super hero problems.

He's already gone through the rough times with MJ and they came out of the
other end together, MJ is as big a part of SM now as Peter Parker and I'm
not sure I'd want to read a story where they are not together.

If MJ dies/leaves him or whatever, it should be because it aids the story,
not just so they can have Peter as a single man.
