I would focus more on getting the settlement on the planet up and
running first
like someone else up thread suggested. Even with regular runs between
Earth
and the colony, I would start off with low tech/easily repairable
equipment and tools
I'm assuming this planet has ecosystem that is compatible with Earth
life. That the local
plant & animal life is safe for consumption and/or that Terran plant
and animal life can
thrive there.

What are the basic needs of the settlers?
Food, Shelter & clothing? To start with
Food - bring 6months/year supply of rations, try as quickly as
possible to get
farming going.
Shelter - start off with tents & simple prefabs, but quickly build
more permanent
shelters out of wood, stone, earth/sod houses
Clothing - import sheep and cotton plants for making of cloth or find
suitable plants and animals to substitute for them
Also if you import cattle for meat, the hides can be tanned.
What else is needed?
Medicine? How much can be substituted with herbal medications?
