No need for them to fail. The impracticality of the various schemes being
defended against hasn't prevented anyone from putting forth enormous
effort to prevent them, and having the impracticality vividly demonstrated
in real life surely wouldn't change this. Have the poor fanatic get
horrible head burns and watch all the rational people laugh at the idiot,
meanwhile all the talking heads and policy wonks are busily churning out
"what-if" scenarios to justify more insane bans.
