I keep reading that though the largest planet in 47 Ursa Majoris' system
might have a moon with a somewhat Earthlike composition, because it's
about 2 AU from the star, it would be permamently under ice, like
Europa. But what would be the plausibility of terraforming such a moon?
Could it be rendered Earthlike? And how far would such a moon have to
be from its presumably Jupiter-like parent to avoid its inhabitants
getting fried by radiation from the planet?

Or would the only hope be a domed colony on the moon? How about a
floating colony in the gas giant's clouds?

AFAICT it's too early to rule anything out. This page speculates
that a moon of the innermost is cold as hell, but also says the
speculation is "out of date and will be updated" soon:

This one speculates such a moon might have tectonically-warmed
liquid water bodies:

http://www.exoplaneten.de/47uma/english.html

but also only lists one world.

This page OTOH shows a moon of an outer planet of that star as being
rather warmer in a painting done in 2001:

So, what's the latest?
