No, the halo is much larger than the solar system; the 5x mass
is just the part of the halo that's nearer here than to other places.
So, as you get farther from the sun, you also get nearer to the extrasolar
portions of the halo; net effect, nil.

Net gravitational attraction within and to a sphere is zero (this is why
gravity doesn't work for the insides of Dyson spheres). So everything
outside cancels out.

What is left is the extra mass within, which works just like any other mass.

You seem to want to pretend that dark matter isn't affected by gravity just
like everything else. It is, and it will be attracted to stars just like
everything else is too.

: Even if there were no interaction whatsoever but gravity, we would

Right. On scales large compared to the size of the halo.

No, on any scale we can observe.

On scales
much smaller, such as the solar system, we would not. That's exactly
why the notion of a halo is appealing; it provides an actual reason for
there to be variation between what happens at large and small scale,
something that alternatives rather prominently lack.

If dark matter exists it will exist in the solar system. Since it
supposedly consists of 6x the mass of regular matter, its effects would be
very large and very visible.
