Who said local stars don't move as if influenced by dark matter?

Well, people who aren't idiots, for one...

Other than Shawn Wilson, I mean; what, specifically, is inconsistent
with there being N times the mass?

Well, we already know what the mass of normal matter is, and the theories
and observations we have are all consistent with that being all the mass
there is in the stars and systems we can see. If the solar system is
secretly 6 times as massive as we think, then Pioneer isn't decelerating
*nearly* as fast as it should and comets are on entirely the wrong
trajectories. Planets would be in different orbits as well. Those theories
that galaxies violate are not violated by the planets. It would have *very*
observable effects.

Consider what the gravity is
anywhere inside an incredibly dense and massive sphere, and how
free trajectories look inside such a massive sphere. And local stars
are *well* inside the proposed halos.

Unless you have a theory as to why dark matter can't lose momentum (and if
you did it would lead directly to a perpetual motion machine), then stars
should have their own halos from cool dark matter.
