Since it is postulated that it interacts normal matter only weakly,
pointing out that it doesnt' interact with normal matter (ie, show
an iota of this stuff) is not a "prediction that hasn't panned out".
Same as with neutrinos; they don't leave cloud tracks, or hit other
particles, because they interact with the particles we see only weakly,
so the fact they weren't visible wasn't a "prediction that didn't pan out"
for them, either.
