Well we can't all be as brilliant as you, but I do believe that the
laws of physics still apply. The formulas were not irrelevent. The
equations that I used, described exactly what I intended them to. I
made a calculation error because of haste. You on the other hand,
offer as a main defense of your proposition a whinging mantra about
most people not being able to comprehend the magnificance of you idea.
>I'm a mathematician.
Oh boy, well done for you. Should I bow down now? Perhaps as a token
of tribute to you greatness I'll send you a fancy extra-large hat to
fit your big fat head.
I work for stockpile stewardship which is the organization that
oversees maintainance and improvement of America's nuclear deterence.
I am not a PhD yet, but I have actually worked on NASA contracts to
develope advanced propulsive systems. I had Winterberg as an
instructor at University (he first proposed the micro-pulse engine that
Daedulus is based on), I even have several publications with him. Is
that relevent?
I was taught that the analysis of these sorts of things begins with
conservation. So I was making a mild attempt at that. Your attempt to
justify the worth of you ideas by proclaiming that you are a
mathmatician is pathetic.

People who are experts in nucleonics labeled a process 'thermonuclear
fission', I merely used their label. If my use of non-standard
terminology is so disturbing, then perhaps you should file a grievence
with the Federation of Planets, I believe they have jusidiction
concerning the terminology pertaining to FANTASY SPACECRAFT.
As far as fission being different that fusion: that is clear, for the
process... not for the resulting debris cloud. What part of that do
you not understand? Do you ride the short bus to school in addition to
being pedantic?
It has become readily apparent that you don't care about a real
foundation for you proposal.... that's fine, perhaps you don't know
some of the things that would be required to accurately describe your
idea (such as plasma physics). That isn't so important since this is a
forum about fantasy spacecraft. But don't try and hide behind the
omni-potence of mathmaticians. If you weren't interested in talking
about an accurate physics description for your craft then you could
have just stated that and I wouldn't have attempted one. But by the
same token you can keep you criticisms of me next to the gerbil in your
colon.
You have made it clear that you think anyone that questions you is a
fool. Fine... frankly I think you are a big bag of flatulence, so
let's just call a spade a spade and end it.
I think it is time to let this thread die, since there is nothing even
remotely science or SF-ish about it now. I am sure no one else cares
by now, so just make your pedantic retort and then we can let it die
for Crist's sake.
