As I suspected, you are assuming that if it wasn't recorded, it
couldn't have happened. Cain, Seth, and Able were the first
*recorded* children of Adam and Eve. That they had other children is
made patently obvious by the context. The fact that Eve was happy for
Seth does not mean she had no other sons -- it means she was happy to
get another son after one was murdered.
