That rather depends on the news feed you use. For example, if you
use Newsguy, there doesn't appear to be any spam whatsoever in
the group.
And there's very little here on Panix.
Just because there have been no real posts for a couple days doesn't
mean the group is dead. This group has had quiet days too.
For instance there have been no posts in rec.humor.funny since July,
but that doesn't mean that ... *July*? I'd better ask Brad what
happened to his latest volunteer moderator.
