Indeed. Also, where do you put the international date line on Mars?
How about on other planets, moon, asteroids, etc.?
For that matter where do you put it on Earth? Why should Jews
necessarily pay attention to the one established by international

How is shabbos handled on the International Space Station?
I have a vague memory that the Israeli astronaut who flew on the
Shuttle kept Jerusalem time.
My googling for this thread does suggest that there was considerable
debate on how to handle things when it became apparent the 'sundown,
the start of the Sabbath' was a different moment in different places.
