Isn't that pretty much inevitable in the computer field?
Yes, eventually. But in these cases I never got much, or any, productive
use out of them before that happened.
Case in point, the Asus Eee. Bought last summer, fully convinced it was
_the_ mobile solution for me. Used about two days. Been in the bottom
drawer ever since. Tried to sell it off, no takers at even half price,
the same year, even much less likely to get rid of it now.
But Mini costs quite a bit more than I was planning to spend on
storage this year. And I'm running out of space and I've got to
put my files _somewhere_.
How many megabytes of files?
Are you asking how much I've got now, or how much am I going to generate
in the future? Because if latter, I don't know, but the answer is, a lot
more than I have now. I think I may have around 150-200GB, about third
of it squirreled away on spare drives and nooks in the network where I
had some free space.
Have you compressed them?
Uh. Most of it is either already in compressed form or does not compress
very well.
