You mean when people actually presumed to question whether Alaska's
being next to Russia made her an expert on foreign policy? Or when
they didn't realize that passing her infant son from hand to hand like
a party favor at the GOP convention showed her commitment to family
values?
No. I mean when people seriously argued that her son was really her
grandson and circulated and believed a long list of books she had
supposedly tried to get banned.
Claiming that she said the Iraq War was a task given us by God was
pretty bad too, since anyone who bothered to look at the video, or read
the transcript, could see that she was actually praying that it was a
task given us by God--which had the obvious implication that she was
afraid it might not be. But that's one that a reasonable person might
have believed if he didn't bother to check the facts.
