Wouldn't it make more sense to use the truck to push the car that cut
you off? The damage to the car -- even if it were totalled -- would
be less than the damage to the train if your truck was in its way.
In the actual case, pushing him would have just pushed the car into
the car in front of him, and I would have been liable for the damages.
Yes, even though I was trying to get out of the way of a train,
running into the rear end of another vehicle is considered an at-fault
event.
And having the gasoline tanker get hit by the train and explode is
going to cause LESS damage overall?
