You know, Doug, I seem claims made in the UK, about the US, which don't
stand up to being tested against reality, and other claims which do.
It's not just limited to health care.

And now you and others are repeating this claim about health statistics
with, as far as I can tell, no evidence.

If I'm being lied to about the USA, why should you assume there are no
lies common in the USA about the rest of the world?

Very likely there are.

Wikipedia has an article on infant mortality. It sounds as though part
of the issue is what counts as a live birth. The U.S. apparently has a
broader definition than some European countries, with the result that
something which counts as a not live birth there count as a live birth
followed by death here.

It isn't clear how large the effect is, or if it's still true with
current definitions--there was some discussion of attempts, I think by
U.N. people, to control for such problems.
