A con that you've possibly never heard of...

"Authors Frederik Pohl, Greg Bear, Gregory Benford, David Brin,
Ben Bova, Howard V. Hendrix, Geoffrey A. Landis, and Kim Stanley
Robinson... A teleconference from Sri Lanka with Sir Arthur C.
Clarke is scheduled. The guest of honor is author Ray Bradbury."
If you read Locus you've probably heard of it. If you study the field
academically you've heard of it. Very expensive to attent, if I recall
correctly.
A very masculine group, eh?
Possibly reflecting the differential between salaries for males
and females? (Since few of us actually make our livings from
writing.)
