I must admit there are times when the WW2 groups make me feel a little uncomfortable. Not just the Germans... Some of them seem a little too enthusiastic about running around with guns, maybe losing track of the history.
I was at a wargames con in January and one of these groups were there, dressed up as some sort of SS desert warfare unit. I wasn't particularly enthralled, particularly when I noticed they had a kid with them, aged about 9 or 10, in SS desert drummer-boy uniform. I'm not convinced that a kid knows enough about the history to make an informed choice in joining this sort of activity.
