Teachers never confiscated contraband in your school and never gave it

By the time I was in high school they knew better (Bronx HS of
Science). Even earlier, some of us wouldn't put up with it.
So you believe that for some reason rules that apply to people don't apply
to you then?
I believe that rules (such as the Constitution) apply uniformly.
So school kids have the right to bear arms?

Kids in general don't have the same rights as adults.

If "school kid" is a first-grader, then no. If he's a 25-year-old
Navy veteran in college, sure.

Some people are better able to enforce their rights than others, but
that doesn't mean they have any more rights. Invented rules that
violate rights don't apply to anybody, even if some people abide by
them.

So you'd apply all adult rights in a school then?

That depends on what you mean and how they're applied.

Freedom of Speech, for instance, doesn't involve the right to disrupt
a classroom. But two kids chatting quietly over lunch can talk about
whatever they want just like in the real world.
