I believe it was Misty Lackey who had trouble from a fan who accused
her of plagiarizing fanfic.
Marion Zimmer Bradley ran into one that started making threats
(actually, it was the fan's husband that made tht threats of suit).
It wound up with her canceling writing a book and switching the
"Friends of Darkover" to invitation only.
