That's Mexican radical talk; lots of it was heard back in the '60s,
both here and in Mexico City. Mexico has serious revolutionary
traditions; its history has been revolution ever since the subject
tribes of the Mexica made alliance with Cortez's men. Whatever the
rhetoric, the actuality was a great deal less, and the
revolutionairies have mostly mellowed over the years.

The problem is, once you start talking like that, others much take
into consideration that you just might be serious....though I'm
dubious in this instance.

The people who complain about MeCHA, and who intend violence, if they
can do it, on the other hand, have become steadily more powerful over
the years, until the Republican leadership, now in power in the USA
has found cause to approvingly repeat their rhetoric. They're a
pretty scary lot, by and large, real white supremicists, neo-nazis,
and so forth.

I'm much less concerned with MeCHA than with their critics; what about you?

I don't much like either side...or any of the alternatives, for that
matter.
