Very so, which is why they are eminently recyclable.

Oh, sure. (Assuming that the net energy cost of recycling fuel is lower
than that required to mine fresh fuel and store the greater volume of
waste. I suspect it is, but reprocessing can't be cheap either.)

My question was whether these extra fission products are useful for
anything at present.
