Depending on where you are:
-Patting a person on the shoulder or back of the shoulder.
-Placing the palm of your hand on the back of theirs, or patting it.
-A hug.
I confess I wasn't thinking about intimate physical contact as a gesture.
Umm - those are not *intimte* physical contacts.
Okay, physical contact then. I don't want to spend the next three days on "intimate." I guess I'm not as touchy-feely as a lot of folks.
