Depending on where you are:
-Patting a person on the shoulder or back of the shoulder.
-Placing the palm of your hand on the back of theirs, or patting it.
-A hug.

I confess I wasn't thinking about intimate physical contact as a gesture.


Umm - those are not *intimte* physical contacts.
