Even if it were true, which it isn't unless that OS contains a strong
AI capable of passing the Turing test, English would be very wordy
when used as a computer command language. I might not mind it much,
since I'm a very fast and accurate touch typist, but plenty of users
would be very annoyed.

It's not a database. With a decent command language, database systems
aren't needed for such simple tasks. I like being able to store my
data in plain text files, which are non-proprietary, human readable,
take little disk space, and are compatible with absolutely everything.

I'm not using any programs, other than the ones built into the shell.
And I have good reasons for naming files as I do. By matching on
different characters in the filename, I can select on different
subsets of meetings, e.g. only meetings in Maryland, or only meetings
that didn't get a quorum.
