Although probably not for Kali, who is still practically a kitten
(iirc, he said that she's about 2 years old). But since she's still
being shy (understandable, really), she may not want to leave.

It takes a while for cats to adjust to a new situation. We took in a
pair of rescue cats two years ago, and it took about a year for them
to get used to their new environment. It was a couple of months
before the shyer one would even come out of the basement. The cats
(three total) and dog are still working out the details, even now.
