There's an old joke about God and the Devil meeting on the road
one day and the Devil berating God for having such lousy taste.
"Look at these humans of yours, for example! They continually
break your commandments, flout your laws, persecute your
messengers: to say nothing of what they did to you personally.
AND YOU CONTINUALLY FORGIVE THEM!"
And God said, "Well, yeah, I do."
"You've never forgiven me."
"You've never asked me."
FWIW, representations of the twelve Apostles (as on spoons, e.g.)
usually show Matthias in place of Judas. Acts 1:15 ff. But Paul
will do too.
