Many people questioned why 9/11 could happen when there were so many
warnings about it. The warnings about bird flu is even clearer and the
danger even more predictable and yet here are people deriding an
attempt to do something about it beforehand. I guess for some people
ideology is more important than life. That is not surprising. Ideas
are one thing that people are willing to kill and die for.
There has been a lot of talk about the next pandemic and there is no
disagreement that it is only a matter of time before it hits AGAIN.
Bush's plan goes beyond quarantine and killing a lot of birds and
addresses the situation where the disease breaks out of the quarantine
which will happen.
