Yes, I was the chief engineer in the same book and was allowed to make a
major engineering diagnosis concerning that nuclear-powered airship's
problems: "Bullet holes."

Simon R. Green killed me off at least twice in his Deathstalker series. The
"acerbic social columnist Dee Langford, purveyor of unsuspected truths and
assassin of reputations" has barely been introduced before perishing in a
firefight. In another Green epic, "DeLangford's head exploded ..."
